What I Do

The public sector - and the people it serves - is a complex place. Policy is ever-changing and we’re asked to do more with less against a backdrop of siloed working and bureaucracy. I’ve been there and done that.

I firmly believe our public sector leaders should be encouraged to dabble in a bit of everything to see how it all works and fits together. That’s exactly what my curiosity has led me to do. Policy, practice, and research - I’ve dipped my toe into all of it.

I also believe we need to bring our whole selves to work. The personal influences the professional, and vice versa. I bring insights from my lived experience as a disabled, chronically ill person to my work to keep the people and communities at the heart of what I do.
